Telling Lies!!!

How often you tell lies?
Once i was very stubborn and straightforward.I will tell what ever i feel to whom ever on their face.Just wont care. But now i have learned from plenty of experiences that
honesty with out tact is nothing short of foolishness. And silence is more important than words most of the time.As they say "Words are silver,But Silence is Gold".
The basic truth about people is..

What ever the truth is people see it in a way that is comfortable to them.so whats the point in being "blindly" truthful .So i would say things as situation demands. If we can say truth, great!!!!
But if it will create a situation which we cannot handle a half truth will be better option.

Explosively Inspiring

Again i am going to talk about a book.I guess we all love success stories. We like to hear how and why successful people became what they are...

I happened to read one book some three months ago,and i am still reading it for nth time.It is that addictive that I thought i shall share this with you.

"Stay hungry, stay foolish" is a famous Steve Jobs quote.Thats the title of the book.It the story of 25 IIM Ahmedadbad Alumnies ,who started their own entreprises, instead of staying at the high paid corprate jobs.It includes the well known ventures like naukiri.com,subhiksha(the reatail chain),India Infoline,Mphasis,Sintex etc to name a few.

Its a dynamite. It will explode inside your brain and set fire in you.You wont be the same person after reading it.
If you have read alchemist,i would say this is a realistic counterpart of that.Alchemist inspires you by telling a

romantic story of a boy chasing his dream, here we have 25 real stories which will keep inspired for ever.

i am far from an entrepreneur.I lack the daring as well as energy to be one.But still i found it very inspiring, because it pushes you to do something.Doing is living.More you do more you experience and hence more you live.It pushes me to make my life broader, deeper, richer with fascinating experiences.

Its also is the story of new, shining, daring India. Its often said that "When nation is progressing, its leaders are sleeping".In our case, yes,if our leaders are awake they wont let us progress. These 25 people who's story is covered in this book, represents the set of new age entrepreneurs who made our country progress.Who once again ,may be after centuries ,made India a place where things are happening.

Happy reading!

two plus one is ...

What time it will take to convince a person that two plus one is three?..Well that depends a lot on whom you are trying to convince.

I was at home because i had nothing to do n office and so was my 6 year old cousin. He was very happy because there was a "harthal"(this happens once in month in kerala.. you can think of it as a surprise public holiday).
Though he was in second standard,he could hardly read a full sentence either in malayalam or english. He can count up to 100, and he know alphabets. His mother was very much worried about his condition. So that day i thought i will give shot in "teaching" him.We are good friends...so when i convayed my intention he didnt run away..may be he thought it will be fun with me.

We started straight away with maths..
i gave him a simple addition problem.21 plus 12..he stared at the paper and did nothing.ah..he need my help ok..
we shall make problem simpler...i asked him..what is 2+1?
He thought a little then said twenty one!
I put 2+1 = on paper and said "see my fingers..this 1 then see two more..now that makes it three..see..."
His face was blank..i got it that he was far from convinced..
He got up and walked to his school bag, took his eraser and came back.
Then he erased the plus sign in between 2 and 1 and said "see its twenty one".Oh so he has got a point...
This brought the "tare zameen par" scene where young ishant gives examinantion .
I was puzzled by his counter argument for a moment..how to convince him that meaning of addition is not erasing the + sign?

Luckily he was interested in drawing .so took his color pencils and a half an hour demonstration with color pencils convinced him about basic principle of addition.
